Health is Wealth Program

Our Health is Wealth program developed from a community need. In 2023, youth violence rates in Pierce County were skyrocketing and we needed immediate action. Applying our thirty years of experience in neighborhood organizing and our school-based youth programs, Safe Streets began offering a place-based youth program with no barriers to participation. The program is free to attend, there are no registration requirements, and all ages of youth can attend (a lesson we learned early on to empower youth who were busy caring for siblings to attend together).
